Digestion
You must be wondering, how does a creature like this obtain food?
Well, the mimic octopus has a special way of eating. It uses a beak located in in the center of its many arms and a rough grainy tongue to break down the hard shells of crabs and lobsters. [1]The small suction cups on its long arms help in stabilizing the food then feasting on the meat of the shellfish. It then sucks the food up to its mouth and releases a poisonous saliva that paralyzes the crab or lobster. The saliva released then partially digests the food and the rest is enjoyed with a glass of lemonade and a side of fries. [2] [1]: http://summersusa.tripod.com/
